McCord Cemetery Association Archives

The years 1893 and 1894 were significant for our neighborhood burial ground. A formal cemetery association, named the McCord Cemetery Association, was formed in October of 1893 to "establish a permanent burial place" and to care for it. This collection of records represent the only known documents in existence of the association and are stored at the local county courthouse.

Receipt Book of Lot Sales

Sales receipts of 19 cemetery lots, many undated, for the period 1920 -1964 for the following: Altevogt, Butler, Denny, Ellington, Golterman, Lipe, Lohr, Perry, Reynolds, Shepherd, Short, Snow, Strain, Tomamichael, Wright.

Burial Agreement

Signed by the Association’s secretary-treasurer dated July 12, 1981, is a burial agreement re: Short and Altevogt families. This is the most recent dated record known to exist of the Association.
